Filling
5 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
¾ cup PLANTERS® Cinnamon Butter Pecans, chopped
Glaze
11/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons milk
Dough
2 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup milk, warm
1 (0.25 – ounce) package instant yeast
1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon sugar, divided
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted, cooled slightly
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg

Directions

For the Filling

  1. In small bowl, combine filling ingredients, except for chopped pecans. Set aside.

For the Glaze

  1. In bowl, whisk together glaze ingredients. Set aside.

For the Dough

  1. In bowl of stand mixer pour warm milk. Sprinkle in yeast and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Whisk together. Cover bowl with towel. Let bloom 5 minutes. Add 2 cups flour, remaining ¼ cup sugar, salt, melted butter and egg. Mix on low speed with dough hook attachment. Gradually add remaining flour until dough starts to pull away from sides of bowl. Transfer dough to floured surface. Knead for 1 minute. Let dough rest 10 minutes.

  2. Roll dough into rectangle ¼” thick. Spread filling evenly over dough. Sprinkle chopped Cinnamon Butter Pecans over butter. Roll dough into log, seam side down. Using sharp knife slice log into 1 inch slices. Place on preheated waffle iron. Cook 3 to 5 minutes. Drizzle waffles with glaze. Sprinkle with more Cinnamon Butter Pecans if desired.
